Sturgill’s Country Gold “Sturge” is a gorgeous 14.2hh golden palomino TWH gelding. We repurchased Sturge last fall and have just fallen in love with this little guy. He is so fun and entertaining with a bigger-than-life personality. I have trail rode Sturge hundreds of miles since he has been with us and did a little bit of everything with him. From checking fences and on other livestock a few times a week to overnight camping trips, he’s seen and done a little bit of everything. Like I said earlier, he has a larger-than-life personality. He is just so fun to be around. He loves baths and to be groomed and pampered. He is excellent for the farrier, ties out quietly, and is very easy to saddle and bridle. Sturge will stand dead still to be mounted and dismounted and always rides off slow and easy. Sturge has a very smooth, easy gait that you can sit all day or is happy to walk along all day. He rides anywhere in a group and will ride out alone with no issues. Sturge is a great trail horse and will go anywhere you point him. He loves water, I mean loves it! He will easily cross any type of water, slippery rocks, and fallen trees. You can ride him down the roughest steepest terrain and know you are safe. Sturge is also great around livestock and wildlife. Excellent in traffic and busy streets. If you are looking for that forever horse, you cannot go wrong with this little golden boy!!
