Dahlia is an incredibly sweet mare with an upright neck and powerful front end, making her ride like a much bigger horse. She is very versatile and can be ridden English or Western. Dahlia is a joy to have around the barn and is easy to manage in a stall or living outside. She is very personable and loves attention and shaking you down for treats. Dahlia is not marish and can be turned out with mares or geldings.

Dressage: Dahlia is light and soft in each direction, with ridiculously easy-to-sit gaits, leg yields, and stretch trots like a pro. She would be ideal for a confident kid or older AA who wants to upgrade to a smoother ride.

Western: Dahlia would make an excellent ranch-riding horse. She has a smooth jog and will stretch her nose down to the ground and push for the extended jog. She neck reins and moves off of leg pressure very well.

Trails: Dahlia loves to trail ride and is extremely brave. She will cross bridges and water and go over logs. She will lead or follow and is fine hacking out alone as well. She has that classic Tennessee Walker power walk that will cover a ton of ground and get you where you’re trying to go without being uncomfortable or rushy. Dahlia has been ridden in traffic and down roads with no issues.

On the Farm: Dahlia is a great teacher for ponying youngsters and would be a great candidate for other working ranch-type work. She is not worried about dogs, kids, animals, loud sounds, etc.
