Description: I talk to so many people who basically want 2 breeds tossed into a blender… they want a stocky built horse with some western horse traits, that’ll neckrein, slow lope, slide stop and has some cow sense like a Quarter horse but one that has that smooth gait like so many different breeds of gaited horses that are easy on their backs… and although they are an extremely rare find, I do have one right here!!! Rustler has a very natural and smooth gait and he has been used most of his life as a ranch horse! He will walk slow, lope, slide stop and rein around as good as any ranch horse that you’ll find. He has been around cows, sorted them and herded them. He has also spent many many days being used as a penning horse at a stockyards where he has pushed and penned thousands of cattle. Opening/shutting gates wild and unruly cows, even mad bulls that want to root around… Rustler has been around them all. He is great on trails, crosses logs, creeks, ditches and rocky areas with ease.
