Papa Smurf (AKA Papa) is a VERY stocky built like a QH, 14.3hh, 14 yr old, True Blue Roan Tobiano, Missouri Foxtrotting, Gelding. Papa is easy to catch, clip, bathe, tack up, load, and handle. Papa is a super trail horse that will carry anybody, big or small, wherever they desire to go. He has heart and sense at the same time, making him a safe but very fun horse to ride! He will flatfoot walk or really move on out. He has a natural run walking gait, a very smooth foxtrotting gait, and a nice lope canter! He also neck reins very well and has a decent side pass. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATVs, over large noisy tarps, and had guns shot off his back. No matter where he goes or what he does, Papa is not spooky acting. On the trails, he is always great! Papa has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Tennessee and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. He has been ridden in traffic and is very traffic safe around cars, semis, logs, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do.
