Sparky is a gelding, stands around 15 hands, and is four years old. He is a well-traveled horse that has been ridden in several states and has been used as a ranch horse in every aspect of ranch life. From herding to sorting, pasture roping, and doctoring, Sparky is stout enough to pull anything that you can throw a rope on! The coolest thing about Sparky, besides his amazing looks and calm temperament, is that he has a super smooth 4-beat gait!!! Yes, you are reading that right. He is gaited… naturally gaited, and super smooth! He does not trot; he will lope, but his preferred movement is that smooth gait! He has been trail-ridden in several states and used at a feed yard to ride pens. Sparky reins around will open/shut gates, slide stops, and backs with ease. He will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. Sparky is safe riding in traffic. Sparky is a gentle horse that is never in a hurry. He will flatfoot walk on a loose rein and will move on out easily. Sparky has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed.
