Doo Da is as sweet as she is pretty, located in Harrison, Arkansas, and is a just started 2-year-old registered Missouri Fox Trotter filly with that wonderful disposition. She stands 15-1 hands and is a dark palomino.
She has been started right and understands all of the Clinton Anderson Fundamental groundwork and riding. On the ground, she understands the following: round penning, yielding the hindquarters & forequarters, backs up by tapping the air in front of her, the wiggle wave, marching as well as slight pressure, lunging for respect stage 1 & 2, flexing all 4 ways, and the sending exercise. She has been desensitized to the stick & string, lead rope, plastic sacks, tarps, helicopter exercises, along with other head shy exercises.
The fundamental riding exercises she understands are: flexing with a bit, cruising exercises, follow the fence, diagonals, yield the hindquarters, yield to a stop, bending at a walk, along with bending transitions, vertical flexion at a standstill, yield and back up. She will also do a one rein stop. She has had sideline hobbles on both sides. She can sidepass on the ground, away from you and to you along the fence, as well as sidepass over to you for easy mounting. She can also sidepass while you are in the saddle.
She will cross water, logs, etc., on the trails. She will lead the group or content being in the back, as you can see in the video.
Doo Da has a wonderful personality and an even better temperament. She has been wife approved and ridden by a 72 yr old man along with my niece, who hasn’t ridden a horse since she was 10 yrs old. Doo Da did everything she was asked to do with my niece and did it with ease.
