Rocky

“On the Rocks,” or “Rocky” as we call him, is a beautiful 5-year-old Registered Missouri Fox Trotting gelding. He stands at 14.1 hands. Rocky was born and raised here on our farm in Missouri. We pride ourselves in having quality genetics and producing quality horses for many generations.

Rocky has been exposed to many different disciplines during his training. He has been hauled to overnight trail rides, cattle sorting, trail obstacles courses, and parades. He has excelled in each of those areas. Just one month ago, he was ridden in the Marshfield Missouri Independence Day parade. There were over 50 horses, and the parade lasted one and a half hours. Rocky has never been to an event this big and had never been exposed to the elements he faced that day. He handled the crowds, cars, and pure chaos, and fireworks with ease. We were so proud of him.

Rocky has been hauled to many trail rides where he was stalled next to other horses and has always done great. Our son-in-law, Bryan Biggs, has taken him on rides by himself to ensure that the horse becomes confident in going places alone. Rocky never minds these rides.

Rocky loves to work cattle. He has been cattle sorted on many times. He doesn’t shy away from the cattle and can easily maneuver through the cattle in a pen.

Rocky has also been on a lot of different trail obstacles. He quietly does what you ask and isn’t afraid to go where you point him. One of our favorite trail rides hosts a poker run with different “scary” obstacles along the trails, and Rocky has participated in this event several times.
