Trail, Obstacles, Youth Ranch, Lesson Horse

We proudly offer Chet to a qualified prospect looking for a solid horse with a proper foundation.
Chet will not only turn the heads of everyone passing by with his looks but will also make you proud and confident to ride a horse with the utmost manners and obedience. He has the patience to handle less experienced riders, as he has proven as a lesson horse, yet has the confidence to head off down the trail alone. He has a good, controlled pace for his walk, so you can keep up with your pals on the trail without constantly having to pedal him. He is slow and steady through, over, and around all obstacles. He has been ridden next to busy highways, through town, next to train tracks, around heavy equipment, dogs, deer, and turkey. He walks, trots, and canters on a loose reign. No more wondering if your horse will stop as you pull your arms off. Chet will stop by just sitting down in the saddle. He is super light to flexion and will put his nose on your toe by picking up the reigns with just two fingers. He side-passes, neck reigns, backs, yields his hindquarters forequarters, and lowers his head to be haltered and bridled. His ground manners are impeccable, and he will never crowd your space. He will lunge, back, yield his forequarter and hindquarters, and can be sent over and through any obstacle from the ground. He has been ridden in a local amateur show, was a perfect gentleman around all the other horses, and handled the chaos like a champ. He bathes and stands for the farrier, loads, saddles, and bridles. He is barefoot and handles rough terrain without issue, so with proper trimming, he can continue barefoot if you choose.
