Jacob Glover

Jacob Glover of Jamestown, KY, owns Jacob’s Stables. I have had horses from a young age and enjoyed trail riding, camping, and the great outdoors on horseback. I’m just a one-man operation, and I don’t have many horses, but I strive for a high-quality horse. Several days during the week, I load up and haul an hour away and ride my horses around national parks so that my horses are used to being hauled and used to new places. I prefer gaited horses the most (TWH, MFT, SSH), although I occasionally have a gypsy vanner or Friesian. I follow many natural horsemanship methods, and I enjoy getting in tune with my horse’s minds so that we are on the same level. Some of my horses will be taught to lay down for mounting or side pass to a mounting block. I do a lot of coon hunting at night and ride my horses, lead dogs off them, and shoot all around them frequently. All of my horses will know what REAL trails are! Creeks, mud, logs, deadfall, slick rocks, and steep inclines are just everyday life for them.
