Susan Travers (owner at Shake Ridge Rockies) Susan has been breeding Rocky
Mountain and Kentucky Mountain horses for over 10 years in the Sierra Foothills of
Northern CA. She has taken great pride in choosing her herd and growing her farm.
Many of her horses originate from the old Rocky Mountain horse bloodlines and
became a part of her breeding program because of their exceptional conformation,
lovely 4 beat gait, and the famous calm Rocky Mountain temperament. Her foal crop
and trail ready horses have been shipped and sold all over the USA. These horses were
bred primarily for high mountain trail riding, distance riding and endurance in some
cases. Several of these horses have also been purchased and used for showing in
cowboy dressage, obstacle competitions, as well as for the show ring. When Susan is
not raising foals and training her stock she is competing in endurance and riding all over
the Sierras and West Coast.
