Zackery Stevens

I am from a small town in Southwest Missouri and have been training gaited horses for as long as I can remember. My father introduced me to horses at a very young age, and I have been passionate about them ever since. I have devoted my life and career to understanding horse behavior and how to interact with them. I prefer and specialize in gaited horses and am very particular about my horse’s gaits. I started by training horses for other people at an early age, which allowed me to improve my knowledge and skills. As time passed, I could then focus on my horses, and after a few horses sold, I developed the idea of Thehorsebay, which allowed buyers to determine the value of each of the horses I had available.

The horses I list on Thehorsebay have undergone all my tests, trials, and training to ensure they suit the average beginner rider. These include many miles on the trails, overnight camp trips, and participating in parades. I am a stickler for a horse with a soft mouth and smooth gait. I ensure all my horses can canter, both leads, a soft one-handed backup, and a one-handed side pass. My family and I ride through many gates, around cattle, ATVs, UTVs, traffic, farm equipment, and in large and small group trail rides.

 My goal is to prepare my horses for the unexpected. I continue to improve my training to ensure my horses are safe, dependable, and used to being ridden by novice riders. I encourage everyone to come visit and try out the horse I currently have available by scheduling a time and date.
