About Paul Carness

My name is Paul Carnes. I have been riding horses since I was 11 years old … so 50 plus years at this point.  I grew up in northern Illinois. Like his father and his father before him, my uncle John Carnes was an avid rider and compulsive buyer of horses.  You never knew what Uncle John would bring home with him after a weekend trip.  This worked out great for me as I had the opportunity to ride Quarter horses, Arabs, Tennessee Walkers, Appaloosas, and the best of the best Missouri Foxtrotters.  Eventually, I started buying my own horses, and since I was living adjacent to Missouri, I ended up mostly with fox Trotters.  I have had a dozen or so fox Trotters, a few quarter horses, and a riding mule. I currently have a small farm in central Virginia and have horses of all ages from a few months old to a couple closing in on 30.  Always available for a trail ride if you find yourself in Virginia.
