Hello, fellow horse lovers! My name is Margaret Manes, a 2nd generation horse trainer. My Grandpa, Great Grandfather, and Great Great Grandfather were all blacksmiths, as were my Great Uncles.
Made my first horse show at 2 1/2 and first big horse at 5. Won my first major professional class at age 13, Illinois State Fair Grand Championship. Missouri State Fair Grand Championships 3 times. Ky State Fair Grand Championship also. Seven-time World Champion. Master judges have judged coast to coast. Judged Missouri Foxtrot World Championship for 30 years.
Trained TWH, Foxtrotters, Saddlebreds, Arabians, Standardbreds, Roping, Reiners, thoroughbreds, National Show Horses, Belgian, Shires, Paso finos, Morgan’s, Spotted Saddle Horses, Quarter Horses, shetlands,” and hackney ponies. Always a big variety at my farm. Which sits on 240 acres. 240 x 140 indoor arena with 24 stalls stable. Most training is done outside on trails in the woods and fields with lots of wildlife.
Have a four-time World Champion Reiner standing stud and a beautiful grey TWH stallion.
Have trained many riders. Enjoy teaching and putting riders with their heart horse. My talent with horses and riders is God-given, and I have trained with master horsemen and women my entire life. Always learning and passing my life work to others. Great things happen when I fall in love with the horse, and they love me.
