My name is Joan Barbini, and I am a lifelong resident of New Jersey. Unlike many sellers in this auction, I am neither a professional trainer nor a breeder. I am simply a senior rider who has been fortunate enough to own and enjoy horses for more than five decades.
Throughout the years, I have had the pleasure of riding and owning horses across a variety of disciplines. For the past five years, I have owned Talkin About Smart, affectionately known as “Peanut.” He has been an incredible partner and has introduced me to several disciplines I had never experienced before. Our time together has been rewarding, and he has brought me countless memorable experiences.
As I look toward retirement, I am making the difficult decision to downsize and simplify my life. My greatest hope is to find Peanut a loving, knowledgeable home where he will be appreciated for the many wonderful qualities he has to offer and continue to bring joy to his next owner.
