Leger Horse and Cattle Farms is owned and operated by Jason Leger, his wife Kayla, and his three children, Jacob, Konnor, and Emma. We are located in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, and have been training and selling horses for 19 years. This is a family business, and every one of us plays a part in it. We’ve all been riding horses, including our children, from a very young age. It’s definitely our way of life to spend most days in the saddle. We are fortunate to spend many weeks out of the year traveling and camping with our horses. We believe in being honest in our training and selling of horses. Our goal is to produce safe, gentle trail horses that our customers will enjoy and feel confident and safe with. We’ve grown up on the back of a horse, from gaited breeds to crossbred horses. We are skilled and experienced with Tennessee Walking Horses on the trail, Rocky Mountain Horses, Missouri Fox Trotters, Spotted Saddle Horses, Standardbreds, Quarter Horses, Friesians, Gypsy Vanners, draft horses, mules, and other various crossbred horses, to name a few. We also have experience with training and selling trick horses. The patience, obedience, respect, and humility that horses learn while doing tricks is a bonus that adds to their overall well-rounded characteristics. Our approach to training is simple, gentle, patient, and adaptable approach. Horses are different and have different needs, skills, talents, and abilities. Being able to adapt to teaching a horse something is very beneficial. Spending time with the animal and getting to know what works for them in moving forward with their training is something we value. We want our horses to truly be seasoned, so spending a large amount of time with them in the saddle and on the ground is vital. We are blessed to be able to do this work and do it as a family. We thank God and trust Him for provision as we pour into these animals, and they become ready to find that forever home.
