About Ivy Steele

Hi, my name is Ivy Steele. Have you heard the saying when people leave a door open and they say, “were you born in a barn”. I actually was born in a barn my dad was a Thoroughbred Racehorse Trainer, and my mom was one of the first Female Jockey who went into labor while galloping a horse. They rushed her in a tack room, and she had me and then they said they took me to the hospital to get my Registration Papers haha and then back to the racetrack 4 hours later.
I grew up on TB Racetracks on the West Coast and then settled in California to race. I galloped Racehorses since age 14-18 when I went to Veterinarian School at UC Davis. Graduated and headed up the Northern California Testing Facility for 24 years
Testing Racehorses for drugs, helping write laws for testing and implementing new and better testing ideas. I finally got smart and moved to Texas in 2003 where I had a layup facility for injured horses from the track.
My hobbies are Trail Riding, Drill Team, training Reining Horses, doing Chiropractic on horses. My whole life has revolved around horses. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else
