Our daughter’s interest in horses is what got our family involved with them. We didn’t grow up as a horse family, so much of what we know today has come from learning alongside her and supporting her passion. What started with 4-H and volunteering at horse farms eventually became a major part of our family’s life.
Fleur came to us through the 4-H program and became an important part of that experience. Our 14 year old daughter has spent a great deal of time working with and learning from her. Their work together eventually led them to compete at the state level, where they won State. That experience helped our daughter continue building her confidence and skills as both a rider and horsewoman.
Horses have become something our family enjoys together, but our daughter is definitely the driving force behind it. She continues to volunteer, ride, learn about training, and look for opportunities to improve her horsemanship. Her goal is to continue developing her riding and horse training skills and eventually attend college where she can further her education and pursue a future working with horses.
