Here at Carey Horse Farm, we offer many different accommodations. Our location is a high-quality horse boarding stable in Cave City, KY as well as an equine riding/training facility. We have been committed to serving the Bowling Green, Glasgow, Elizabethtown, Horse Cave, Cave City, Mammoth Cave, and Nashville areas. Founded in 2012, Carey Horse Farm has become a premier destination for horse enthusiasts and campers. Our location is family-owned and run primarily by Ricky Carey. Having ridden since he was a child, Ricky is a talented rider who has spent the last couple of decades competing alongside his family and friends in an organization called the Extreme Cowboy Association also known as EXCA. His involvement in the organization has allowed him to host many EXCA events at our location. These events are highly focused on working with your horse to complete a series of obstacles within a given amount of time and are judged based on things such as horsemanship, speed, and correctness. With EXCA being such a large part of what we do at Carey Farm, our main focus is to create a versatile and brave horse. Our horses have experience with obstacles of all different kinds with just a few examples being bridges, “cowboy curtains” and tunnels, large jumps, and many side passing obstacles. To excel in all of these challenges, horses must be well rounded and confident which is something we take pride in working towards with our horses. Our location also allows us to commit a large portion of our time with our horses riding through the trails in our home state of Kentucky. Because of this, all of our horses are exceptional ranch horses and have grown very familiar with spending the day on the trails.
