Kunkler Horses and Livestock stands behind finding and pairing the best family-friendly horses. Rather it be a trail horse for your wife or kids who has more woah than go or a barrel horse or buggy horse with the grit and mindset to get the job done. We believe in the quality we put out there to the horse world. We are based in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and I have lived here all my life. Horses have always been a part of my journey into this world. Horse sales used to be a thing to do on the weekend to see what was out there and what most people sought as their preferred horse. I was a young teenager with $500. I took what people passed on, brought them home, rode, and spent time with quickly doubled as someone’s preferred horse. Quarter horses became my preferred horse. Their look, mindset, and abilities made it possible for me to connect with other people with the same dream as me, to own a business doing what I love most. I used to work the typical 9-5, and horses were more of a hobby, but the more I dove in, and the more late nights I spent after my regular job and getting home after midnight knowing I had to be up at 5 am just pushed me harder to work for it. I wanted it. I had a little taste of it but desired more. I started without a barn, just a field with trees and a natural water source; a horse trailer with more rust than my tools did after being out in the rain, but I kept pushing. I widened my breed selection and did all the research I could to know everything about every horse. I branched out and bought my first Gypsy Vanner. I fell in love. It blew the horse world up for me. It opened so many doors to new people in this business. From that, it gave me the final push I needed to start my own business. I didn’t want a little taste of what could be. I wanted the full thing. Everyday. I quit my 9-5, started building my brand, and finalized with my LLC., Kunkler Horses and Livestock. I built my first barn and soon after built more onto that, got the truck and trailer I wanted to help build my lifestyle, and persevered through my struggles and downfalls getting here. Now a little over a year in, I shipped horses all over the United States, met so many amazing people, and continue to strive for that preferred horse, because everyone has one, and we will pair you with it. We will find them, ride and break them, care for them, even spoil them a little, and then wait to see your smile when they arrive to you from us here at Kunkler Horses and Livestock.
