I’m Adam Snyder with Rising Cross Horses, I have always had horses from a young age and really don’t remember not being on a horse. I’ve always enjoyed trail riding, camping, and the great outdoors on horseback and my favorite ranching and rodeoing. I’m just a one-man operation, and I don’t have a huge number of horses, but I strive for a high-quality horses that are handy broke for trails and ranch work. Several days during the week, I load up and haul an hour away and ride my horses around national parks so that my horses are used to being hauled and used to new places. I prefer American quarter horses for the fact that I love the reining cow horse. Fit my lifestyle perfectly, although I occasionally have gaited, Gypsy Vanner or Friesian. I follow many natural horsemanship methods my favorite being Clinton Anderson, and I enjoy getting in tune with my horse’s minds so that we are on the same level. Some of my horses will be taught to lay down for mounting or side pass to a mounting block, the Spanish-walk, and liberty work. I catch a lot of wild cattle for cattle ranchers around the state and use a lot of my horses, lead dogs off them, and shoot all around them frequently. All of my horses will know what REAL trails are! Creeks, mud, logs, deadfall, slick rocks, cattle, traffic, and steep inclines are just everyday life for them.
