Veil

Description:

Veil is a 9-year-old Appaloosa gelding who is hard to come by! He is broke, the best, dependable, and an absolute pleasure to have around. Whether you are looking for a trustworthy trail partner, a horse the whole family can enjoy, or one that can handle everyday ranch and farm life, he checks all the boxes. He is the perfect size for both an adult and a child and has been ridden extensively by a 16-year-old girl.
On the trails, this gelding is wonderful. He has countless trail and road miles under his belt and has been on overnight camping trips, where he stands quietly on a picket line. He will cross water, step over logs, handle rough terrain, and go wherever you point him. He is not spooky and is traffic-safe, so you can relax and enjoy the ride instead of worrying about what is around the next corner.
He is extremely accustomed to everyday farm life and has been around cattle, farm animals, heavy equipment, machinery, and plenty of activity. He gets along great with mares, geldings, and minis and fits into a herd easily. We have also ponied other horses off of him, and he handles it like an old pro. He is sensible, confident, and takes new situations in stride.
In the arena, he is just as enjoyable. He always picks up the correct lead and has a beautiful slow trot as well as a nice extended trot when asked. His trot and lope are smooth, comfortable, and very push-button. He is broke, responsive, and easy to operate without making his rider work for every maneuver. He has enough ability to be enjoyable for an experienced rider while still being straightforward enough for the family to enjoy.
His ground manners are just as good as his riding manners. He stands great for the farrier, loads and unloads wonderfully, and trailers well with other horses. You can haul him with just about anybody. He does great in a box stall, is easy to handle, and gets along wonderfully with other horses. He doesn’t require shoes, needs no maintenance, and is sound.
One of this gelding’s best qualities is his versatility. Take him trail riding, camping, down the road, around cattle, or simply enjoy him around the farm. He doesn’t need a strict riding program to stay dependable. He has no bad habits and is the kind of horse you can pull out, saddle up, and go enjoy. He has the experience and confidence that only come from putting real miles on him.
If you are looking for a great family horse everyone can enjoy, this Appaloosa gelding deserves a serious look. He is broke, safe, smooth, seasoned, and incredibly versatile. From his push-button trot and lope to his trail experience, traffic safety, and easygoing personality, he offers so much. He is the kind of gelding that can make memories with the entire family for years to come!
