Skye is truly one of a kind! Gentle, Sweet, Friendly, and Patient. BEAUTIFUL with a big HEART and willing to do whatever you ask of her.
We bought her directly from the breeder and have put her through all aspects of our training program. Registered with The Spotted Saddle Horse Association, she has numerous World Champions on both the top and bottom of her pedigree. Standing 14.3 she’s good-boned and stoutly built to carry any size rider all day long. She’s been hauled and ridden all over the mountains of Montana to the forests of the Midwest. Skye is experienced with long days on the trail, with all kinds of wildlife. Everything from ducks, geese, quail, bald eagles to coyotes, deer, antelope, etc. She’s been through all types of terrain from prairies, creeks, mountains, sagebrush, and wide-open fields. Skye is also seasoned with gunshots, dogs running around, loud noises, machinery, and traffic.
Skye has a solid foundation of groundwork and arena riding. She will flex, move off leg pressure, pick up her shoulders, and is very light and responsive. She is very SOFT with a lot of feel while riding or doing the groundwork. She rides in everything from a
D-ring snaffle to a curb bit, halter, neck rope, and even guides by lightly asking with your fingertips on her neck. She walks quietly, gaits, and steps right up into a balanced lope, all on a loose flowy rein. Responsive to light leg or hand cues and will stop and back just using your seat and legs. We’ve had a lot of fun riding her BAREBACK and BRIDLELESS.
Skye stands perfectly to mount and moves over to stump, tailgate, or anything you find to make it easy for you to get on. She has a great neck rein, side passes, stops, backs, and is always very controllable. Her gait is SO SMOOTH and comfortable that you will never want to stop. She has excellent transitions between gaits and will go whatever speed you ask, from a slow walk to an easy-going enjoyable gait and step right up into a collected lope. Skye is a SOLID trail horse. She doesn’t get in a hurry; she goes up, down over, and through whatever you point her at. On steep hills, she is like a 4-wheeler, no rush in rough areas, and knows how to pick her way through big rocks and over downed trees; definitely SUREFOOTED. Always CONFIDENT and self-assured when others come and go. We’ve swung a rope off her and drug logs and barrels and used her to pony other horses and mules. She is good with dogs, water, guns, bridges, machinery, traffic, tarps, flags, wildlife, umbrellas, bullwhips, and much much more. Skye gets along with others out in the pasture and is always easy to catch. She stands perfect to saddle, bridle, and mount, and for the farrier. She loads and hauls great. She’s excellent to wash and will stand quietly tied all day if you need to. Truly a PLEASURE to be around.
Skye is a SPECIAL and FUN horse. We are thankful to have had her in our program for everyone in our family to have ridden and enjoyed. She is willing, smart, gentle, well trained, confident, and controllable. You are definitely riding in STYLE on Skye!

Skye comes with a vet pre-purchase exam, Coggins, and health certificate. We can help arrange transportation and will keep her for up to 2 weeks at no charge while transportation is arranged. We request buyer be PayPal or Venmo accessible to place a $2000 deposit following the end of the auction. We also ask that the remaining balance be wire transferred by the following business day.
