Syd Barrett is as sweet as can be. He Loves people, curious, inquisitive, and is such a fast learner.

Syd stands 13.3hh and is five years old, and has been in training for the past eight months. He knows his leads, side passes, moves off leg pressure, and picks up all gaits.  He is a very docile horse. The kids can climb on, under and all around him, and he doesn’t bat an eye. He is great with other animals and even doesn’t mind having a dog riding him double. He would make a super family horse.

As you can see from his video, he jumps, rides both English and Western and handles obstacles with ease. You can carry flags, drag tarps, rope off his back seated or standing, jump off his back, swing from his neck, and Syd Barrett will not be phased. He has been ridden up trails, climbs up on rocks, over logs, through rivers, marches up/down banks, is road safe, traffic safe – with never a spooky reaction. Syd has been exposed to bulls, cows, and other various farm animals.  He will do several tricks too and would be a showstopper if you want to bring him to parades.  He lays down on cue, plays kickball and lets  you lay on top of him while he is laying down.  He is extremely athletic and would be an amazing dressage or hunter/jumper. He rides out alone with confidence or in groups – he doesn’t care. He is great for the farrier,  bathe, trailer, easy to catch, loves being groomed and turns out well with other horses.  He has been barefoot his entire life and has nice solid feet.  He is an easy keeper.  He is super flashy and has that wow factor.  Come to meet him and you will fall in love with his super personality.

Syd is being offered 100% sound with no history of colic, illness, or injury.

Syd is registered with the GVHS.
