Talk about the wow factor! SS Dunnit In Rawhide sure is done up right! She is a 15.1 hh, dunskin, 13 year old, registered quarter horse mare with dun stripes on her legs and a dark stripe down her back. She has been worked on ranch, she has herded, rounded up, sorted, penned, doctored and branded cattle… and not just a few of them but hundreds of them! In addition to ranch work SS has worked many days penning cattle in stockyards, she will open/shut gates, push calves and not get upset if a cow pushes back. Away from the cattle ranch SS has been used as a trail horse, she has saw everything possible on the trails. She will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. She is safe in traffic safe whether that be semi trucks or cars. You can swing a rope off of her, crack bullwhip or shoot a gun and he is just fine with it all. She has a very good handle and will one step lope. We have used SS ourselves at a cattle roundup/move/doctoring and my little boy has rode her double with me. SS doesn’t raise a fuss whether she is way out in front, behind or heading off away from the other horses. SS tacks up quietly, is not cinchy, doesn’t pull back when tied and rides off quietly every time you step on her.
