Spud is an absolutely beautiful 7-year-old unregistered TWH gelding. Spud stands 15.1 hands tall on a regular keg shoe. Spud belonged to an older friend of mine that recently passed away. Spud is an absolute blast to ride. He will set up in the bridle and ride in style or come right back down to a comfortable head-shaking gait for pleasure. My son is 11 years old and handles him very easily; however, my son is a good rider; with that being said, if you know the basics of riding, Spud is no problem to ride and handle. Spud will go anywhere you ask him to go. Spud is built big and thick and never misses a meal. He is put together as nice as any horse you could ever imagine. Spud runs out to pasture with other horses well and is not bossy; he can be pushed around pretty easily himself.

As you can see in the video, Spud is very patient with my son for the tack and mounting but will set up and ride like a show horse with him if he asks him to. Spud is good with bath, trims, farrier, trailering. He isn’t hard to get along with at all. Spud knows his job, and he does it well. If your looking for a horse that you can trail ride, show, or play and have fun with, this is him. If you’re looking for a dead-head old run-down horse, this is not him. Spud is the kind that most everyone looks for but never gets the chance to have. Spud is not by any means a trade horse and not a sale barn horse. He has no idea what that lifestyle is about, and Spud has been on the same farm since he was two years old. Spud is up to date on Coggins, health certificate, vet exam, and vaccinations.
