Spartan is a one-in-a-million. He has looks, brains, and bone to boot, with an overflowing puppy dog personality. Spartan will always greet you at the gate; if you are near his pen, he will want to stay near you. He absolutely loves life and people. From plains to mountains to evening rides into town, this man is my favorite trail mount with sure feet and a bubbly attitude. He LOVES to be out and has primarily been ridden alone. He could care less if he has a buddy, as his human is his favorite buddy. Spartan has impeccable ground manners; your vet and farrier will love him. He is great with anything from his feet to shots and wormer. He stands well for baths and fly spray. Loads well and loves to go to new places. He has been exposed to the rope, all kinds of livestock, and wildlife. He is like one of the horses in the old western movies that you’d travel the plains with, and he’d be your ride or die till the end. Spartan has also been lightly started on barrels and poles and seen everything from tarps to flags and all kinds of crazy things we could think of. He handles everything in stride and with a willing heart. If you are looking for your jack of all trades with a heart as big as Texas, This man is it!
