Description:

Socko is a beautiful bay tobiano cross-bred 12 yr old gelding standing 16.1 with a nice mane and tail. Horses like Socko are very hard to find if you’re looking for the perfect gentle trail horse that’s fun for the whole family. Socko is your man. Socko is fancy broke and a finished trail horse and has done ranch work, checking fences, and gathering cattle. Nothing really phases this guy; he is seasoned on organized trail rides and has been to big parades. He will ride in a group or out alone. He will pony colts or mares all day. Socko has a good stop; put your feet forward and slightly lean back; he stops right then and there. Socko will walk, trot, and canter, taking both leads. Socko will lope off from a standstill. He is safe for an advanced beginner who knows the general riding basics. He is good for the farrier, easy to bathe, and super easy to load in a trailer. Socko is well trained with a one-hand neck rein, or direct rein doesn’t matter. It depends on what’s comfortable for you. Socko is a versatile horse that can go in any direction you want. He has been trail-ridden and camping in several states. He has seen everything possible on the trails; guns and whips don’t bother him. He will carry a flag, cross creeks, ditches, and logs, and navigate rough, rocky areas. Socko doesn’t mind traffic or side-by-side. He has very nice movements and will also side pass and yield hindquarters. Has had some experience roping around the ranch. Socko has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer, turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere he is asked to. Don’t worry about having a hard time mounting him because he will side pass over to the mounting block for you to mount him with the snap of your fingers or swinging your reins in a circular motion. He has ridden many miles in the mountains and encountered every obstacle on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Located in Hodgenville, KY. Shipping is available. Feel free to call Adam to schedule a time to meet Socko.
