At 9 years old & standing 15.1 hands, you would be hard pressed to find another gelding that is this friendly & easy-going while still maintaining a good work ethic. Cruise rides away from home alone and will comfortably separate from others on the trail. He is a confident leader going down the trail, but he also doesn’t mind falling behind when riding in a group setting. He stands well for grooming, saddling, and clips easily. He is patient with bathing and stands still when tied for the vet & farrier. He also loads/unloads easily and is a dream to catch anywhere.
Cruise is super soft with a ton of feel while riding or handling on the ground. He has a fantastic flat walk & gait with smooth transitions, making him very comfortable to ride all day long. Cruise has been ridden extensively on trails in Tennessee, Kentucky, Utah, Oklahoma, Colorado & Missouri, to name a few, and he’s seen just about every type of terrain and wild animal you may encounter; from bird dogs to badgers, quail to bald eagles, elk, rabbits, bear, moose, and much more. While navigating rough terrain, he takes his time and never gets in a hurry or panics when in a tight spot. He is skilled with water, bridges, gunfire, dogs, traffic, children, and ponying other horses & he remains consistent, even when taking time off.
Cruise will go to work every day with a willing attitude, or is just as happy to be fed treats and be loved all day. So, whether you are a die-hard rider or a novice, you will be very happy with this sweet boy!
Please note: We request that the buyer be PayPal, CashApp, or Venmo accessible to place a 20% deposit immediately following the end of the auction. We also request the remaining balance to be wire transferred before the close of the next business day. Additionally, the buyer is solely responsible for arranging pickup/transportation within two weeks of the auction end; otherwise, a boarding fee will be incurred. *I can aid in transport between Durango, CO, and Eminence, MO, the week following the auction close as well, if needed.
