Trail horse, gaited, gaited show, ranch horse, cow horse, field trial, Parks Out

Description:

Red Signal is an 8-year-old Tennessee Walker Gelding.

He stands 15hh but stretches to 13.3hh.

If you are looking for a horse with a lot of personality, look no further. He is a very fun horse.

Red Signal is excellent at the following basics.
Stands tied
Stands and parks out to saddle
Stands for the farrier
Takes the bridle without fuss
Stands for fly spray
Stands for clippers
Stands for a bath
Load and unloads great. Will back out and will load in a straight load
Neck Reins
Stands and parks out to mount and dismount

Red Signal has been trail rode extensively. He will ride over bridges or through creeks with no issues. He is traffic safe. He crosses logs without trying to jump. Rides quietly in a group or on his own. He is careful and uses his hindquarters when coming down steep hills. He will ride through heavy brush with no problem.

He will park out to mount and dismount. He stands 15hh when standing up straight but parks out to 13.3hh. He is very easy to cue for his park out and will stay that way while mounting or dismounting. He will also park out easily to saddle, which makes saddling for kids and anyone that can’t lift a saddle well a lot easier.

He has also been used to work cattle and goats. He LOVES it. He would make an awesome ranch gelding. He will drag what you ask him to. He is stout made and smooth. You could ride a big ranch all day on him and get the job done, all while riding a smooth gelding.

Red Signal was shown successfully as a 2- and 3-year-old. He was shown in keg shoes and weighted shoes. He will still collect up and gait like a show horse. If you wanted to take him into the show pen, I’m sure he would excel.

He has also been ridden in the gallery at field trials. The dogs running in and out don’t both him as well as the guns being shot near him. I think he would also do great as a field trial mount. He has also been ridden on coyote hunts.

Red signal would be perfect for a confident beginner and above just because he will move out fast when asked. He is a good boy and a lot of fun to ride. My children are 8 and 12 and get along well with him, and I would still call my 8-year-old a confident beginner.
