Lad is a beautiful coming three-year-old registered Missouri Fox Trotter. Lad has been on our farm in Moweaqua, Illinois, since he was a yearling. He has extensive trail miles through thick timber, open fields, and countless miles down the road; his calm and easygoing disposition and willingness to please make him easy to train. Through extensive training, he has become a reliable and safe trail horse that anyone can get on and ride anytime, anywhere. During my training to make him an exceptional trail horse, I focused on training that I feel is often overlooked and undertrained such as standing tied, standing when mounting/ dismounting, standing and stopping on the trail, Stopping no matter what when I say whoa, desensitization to many types of things he may encounter on the trail. These are some things that make the difference between a safe and enjoyable trail ride and an unsafe, unenjoyable experience. Lad has been a joy to train and ride and will make a great lifelong partner for you. He is easy to handle, stands to saddle/bridle/mount, is easy to load and unload out of any trailer, is great for the farrier, rides alone or in a group, one-handed neck reign, backs up, side passes, works bridleless, crosses anything you point him over, does not spook, and so much more!
