Oreo is a twelve-year-old, black and white, overo, paint mare with unique markings. She stands at 15.1 hands and has stellar confirmation with a gorgeous hip, kind eye, and feminine features throughout, yet she is also muscular with a healthy, shiny coat. The vet confirmed she was completely sound and in great health, while a chiropractor determined that she is perfectly in line. She is well behaved for farrier, vet, chiropractor, good with needles, and up-to-date with all vaccinations and worming. Recently shod, she can traverse the most strenuous terrain.
Oreo is excellent under saddle, sure-footed, loads flawlessly in a trailer, ties well for hours, is easy to catch in a pasture, does well with all kinds of fencing and respects it, and has no discernible vices. She will cross water, bridges, and tunnels willingly and is undeterred by motorized vehicles, skateboards, cows, and gunfire. She gets along famously with every type of horse and barnyard animal.
Whatever the age and skill level, every rider will feel confident while riding her in arenas, trails, and open pastures. She rides quietly in any size arena, knows her leads, responds to cues, and is not barn-sour. In addition, Oreo has been ridden and trained on trails and has been ridden by a 10-year-old on a very busy trail with no issues. She is very willing and confident on trails, is good with her feet, and will not stumble, whether in the lead, middle of the group, or in the rear. She rides quietly in open pastures and modulates to whatever speed is directed by her rider.
Oreo doesn’t act like a typical mare. She stands out because of her friendly, sweet, and loving personality and especially loves to give kisses and cuddle with anyone who comes up to her. She will follow young kids around in an arena and lavish them with affection while allowing them to spoil her with love. Our ten-year-old goes right into our 30-acre pasture, and Oreo will come right up to him puts her head right into a halter. She can be trusted with your youngest riders, and they will develop relationships with her that will last a lifetime.
