English and western riders here is a true all-around gelding in his prime. Ready for whatever discipline you would like to pursue. Njal is one of the most willing horses you’ll find anywhere. He is ultimately a finished Ranch horse and Trail horse. Experienced in jumping as well. If you’re looking to fox hunt or cross-country eventing don’t pass this guy up. He is used to long days long miles and hard work. He absolutely will come up to you in the paddock or pasture wanting to go to work. He has enough endurance for major events with some more training. We have started him on cross country courses, and he will absolutely jump anything you point him at. we’ve had this guy all winter and really put some good miles on him. He sits well you do not need to ride him every day, and he is the same horse. we do not lunge him before riding. He is not spooky on the trail or in town. He is great on the ground, super sweet personality, and loves attention and his treats. He is a very easy keeper. No maintenance is required and always sound. He is great for the farrier and vet as well. He loads and unloads as one should. just tell him to load, and you do not even have to tie him. tell him to unload, and he does. He is very nice in the bridle, and he will collect up well and could go to the show ring very easily in western dressage and be competitive. He ropes. He sorts and gathers like one should. He is so versatile and honestly one of the most enjoyable horses we’ve ever worked with. He has worked in the feedlot, opens and closes gates, drug some pretty big steers, and handles a rope well. He also is a lower to a mid-level head horse. If you’re looking to go out alone or with friends on the trail, you’ll love this guy. He has a nice ground covering walk and a super smooth trot. He will go thru anything rivers, bridges, mud, bikes, strollers, and vehicles; nothing phases this guy. He knows his leads, side passes, kicks a hip over. If you like an extremely gentle and safe horse this is your guy. If I had to find a vice on this guy, it would be that he picks his legs up when you brush them! We look forward to meeting you all.
