He has seen everything from Alabama to Louisiana, Texas, and the beautiful rocky mountains here in Colorado. He is extremely sure-footed. This guy is for someone who likes to ride He has a big motor, but he will also crawl behind a non gaited horse, staying at least 5 feet off their hind end. As seen in the video. He will lead as well anywhere you point him. He rides in the middle, not crowding nor minding someone behind him.
He will bring up the rear as well. This guy is built amazing nice bone short backed long belly and great feet. He is barefoot in every video. He handles the rough country to the sidewalks of town and bridges. He will cross water as well, but unfortunately, the weather has everything frozen here at the moment. Maximus is the absolute smoothest gaited horse I’ve ridden. He knows his gates well and willing to stay in them. He will also walk, and you can see in the one video I’m not holding the reins at all. Rides on a loose rein if you desire to go easy. He is very fearless, and as you can see in one video, wildlife does not phase him. He has been awesome to work with, so willing. He rides amazing in a group will maintain group speed .. or you can take him by himself and likes to cruise a little more. He rides off alone with no issues. He has impeccable ground manners, as seen in videos. He is looking for his new best friend to enjoy the trails with. He loves to buddy up and trust you. I whistle, and he comes to the gate, waiting patiently for me to halter him. He will drop his head in the halter for you. He loads great stands like a statue to be mounted. He has no lameness and no maintenance. He does well in the pasture with a mixed herd. Great for farrier and vet. The veterinarian commented how relaxed he was and how well he did everything needed for the vet check. Do not pass him up if you are looking for one to do some serious riding.
