Lexi is the type of horse that will leave her grain bowl to visit with her person. She will follow you like a puppy in the field but also respect your space. She is always easy to catch in the stall or in the pasture. She is gentle for grooming, baths, saddling, and shoeing. Loading and unloading in a trailer is not an issue. Lexi’s calm temperament, good looks, and superior four-beat gait did not happen by accident. She was bred with the intent to be a Treasure in the Walking Horse breed. Her sire, Excalibur’s Dark Knight, is a leading producer of World Champion flat shod show ring stars! Lexi has a headshaking, ground-covering four-beat gait that does NOT deviate to a pace. She could easily be competitive in the show circuit if her owner desired. Lexi’s mother, Promising Pearl RSW, is out of TWH color expert Elsie Darrah’s prized mare: Darrah’s Ivory Rose. Horses bred by Elsie Darrah are known for much more than just color. Elsie loved foundation-bred horses with big bone, calm dispositions, and natural walking ability. A full brother to Promising Pearl RSW standsat stud at Westwood Farms in VA. Lexi has been extensively trail ridden in rough terrain. She has also frequented showings and versatility clinics with her owner. Lexi stands for a mounting block,  neck reins, and responds to leg pressure. Lexi crosses creeks, logs, etc. She will easily ride in a group or will ride off independently if she is asked. She will back, sidepass, or pivot if she is given simple cues from her rider.
