Lucas

Description:

The epitome of a classic western, Lucas sports a dark buckskin coat and stands at an impressive 15.3 hands. His dappled gold is complemented by four black socks, a thick black mane and tail, and a refined head. We do not know the breeding history of Lucas due to a unique acquisition, but we feel confident he is an American Quarter Horse.

Lucas has been ridden all over the midwest. The plains in Fort Robinson, The Rocky Mountains of Colorado, The Ozarks of Missouri, and the woods of Iowa, have all been enjoyed by Lucas and his riders. He is sure-footed, has a calm demeanor, and is incredibly thoughtful about how he handles himself on the trail. He Is not herd bound, will ride in the front, back or middle. Lucas will move out to keep up with the faster horses in the group and slow down for the slower riders in the back. He is easygoing, never kicks, jigs, rears, etc. Lucas makes his riders feel safe and confident and is a true joy to take out on the trail.

Lucas loves his people! He is the first to greet you at the gate and always makes sure to come to say hello when you are outside. His playful personality brings lots of giggles and laughs. He is as personable as a horse can be, sometimes seeming more human than a horse. Lucas has been exposed to all types of situations. He is unphased by bikers, ATVs, dirt bikes, shooting, tarps, other animals,… Lucas is well-behaved around other horses. He does not act aggressively or temperamental around other horses.

Lucas could go in any direction and will make a great horse for an intermediate to confident rider. I am available to answer any questions and would love to chat about Lucas with you.
