Lorton is an extremely well-rounded Dutch warmblood gelding. He loves riding outside on the trails and gathering cattle up in the mountains or gathering bulls out on the prairie. He has seen all types of terrain and handles even the steepest, rockiest trails. He goes wherever you point to him, being fearless as one can be. The video shows that he rides amazing in town; you can even get cookies to go on him at the drive-through. He is started in both Dressage and eventing. He’s a very willing gentleman. He is doing very well with learning his yields and cues with both. He learns very quickly and surpasses all expectations. He has one of the best minds I’ve seen in this breed. As seen in the video, he loves to be a part of everything and is easy to catch. He’s good with tarps and anything we’ve thrown at him. He loads and unloads like one should, as seen in the video. If you’re looking for something to take to the show ring and also be able to enjoy a peaceful trail ride and be safe, or jump on bareback and take him for a stroll or swim, you should check him out. Rides English western and Dressage. Good for the farrier and vet. He has sat in our pasture for months, and we just catch him and go ride. We never lunge him. He is the same horse every ride. He is one of the coolest I’ve seen in this breed, ready to take further in whatever you choose. We’ve put a solid foundation under him and made him a very happy horse, always ready to please you.
