Description:
King is a coming 6-year-old golden palomino Tennessee Walking Horse gelding that stands 14.3hh, and he is one of the most trustworthy and dependable horses we have ever had the opportunity to offer for sale. King has proven himself time and time again over the last year that he has been with us. He has the looks everyone wants, but what truly makes King special is his quiet disposition, patience, and proven history with a variety of riders.
King has been ridden by riders of different ages and experience levels and has consistently shown himself to be patient and forgiving. He has even been used for riding lessons with a special-needs student, where his quiet nature and willingness to take care of his rider made him an excellent fit. Our kids, ages 3 to 8, have trail ridden King alone on trails multiple times and on weekend camping trips. We have used King for some of our family to take their first trail rides, and experiences like these have helped us build so much confidence in him. King is, without a doubt, a confidence builder that his rider will love and grow with as he teaches them to ride.
For someone who is nervous, inexperienced, or simply looking for a horse they can relax with and enjoy, King is an exceptional confidence-builder. He does not get worked up over a rider making a mistake, and he is not the kind that feels like he is constantly looking for an excuse to react. He is quiet, sensible, and willing, and he gives his rider time to figure things out.
King has also been extensively trail ridden and has handled the obstacles and situations we have asked of him with confidence. He has crossed creeks and water, traveled up and down steep hills, stepped over logs, gone through mud and rocky terrain, crossed ditches, and ridden through thick brush. He is comfortable riding with a group and has been dependable out on the trail. He approaches new situations with the same sensible attitude that makes him such an enjoyable horse to be around.
King also has the smooth, comfortable gait you expect from a good Tennessee Walking Horse. He is a horse you can ride for hours without feeling like you have to constantly manage him. Just sit back and relax, and King will do the work. He holds his gait consistently and moves smoothly for any rider, as naturally gaited as any horse you will find.
We have owned and offered many good horses, but we do not say this lightly: King is the best horse we have ever offered for sale. That statement comes from our personal experience riding him, handling him, and seeing the different types of riders he has taken care of over the past year. King has repeatedly shown the quiet temperament, patience, trail experience, and forgiving nature we look for in a horse for beginners, children, and riders who need a confidence builder. King also comes with our 2-week exchange guarantee, giving his new owner added peace of mind as he brings him home.
If you have been waiting for that exceptionally gentle, dependable golden gelding that the whole family can enjoy, King deserves a serious look. He is golden on the outside, but his disposition is what makes him truly special.
