Karizma (Krissy)

Description:

Her name says it all Karizma (aka Krissy). Krissy is a blast to ride and has been a go-to trail mount. This mare is a hoot with the personality and brains to take you anywhere you want to go and never get bored. She’s the type you can saddle and go, I never had to lunge her out. Her brain is always in work-and-play mode and ready to join the fun. She absolutely LOVES the trail! I have not found a place she will not go from rides into town and through drives thru’s to busy roads or back roads. Krissy knows her job and won’t miss a beat. With her breeding, she has a special gait that’s easy on the rider even after long hours but will get you there without it taking all day, as she can cover ground if you ask her to. She has seen it all, livestock, strollers, bikes, tractors, rollerblades, cars, big semis, and loud trucks but has also crossed a million obstacles. Over bridges, under tunnels, through water, snow, mountains, fields, point, and shoot. She also has some great brakes on her as well that goes along with a soft mouth in the bit or halter, if you prefer, as she will ride in anything. We have pushed cows on her, and though she isn’t cowy, she won’t back down to anything and will go where you need her to. I also have drug lots off of her. She will pull or pony whatever you need and won’t care if the rope goes around her legs or under her hindquarters. I have had multiple different levels of riders on her, and she has done fantastic. Her human means more to her than her herd, and with that, I have never dealt with herd-bound issues with this gal, and she rides out alone frequently. That said, she also would love it if her next partner is bold and likes adventures as much as she does… and gives her cookies (the apple and carrot are her favorite). Krissy is one of those independent women who would also like you to know she thinks for herself and is on the same level as her rider. She wants to work as a team, not just be bossed around, and will do anything for you if you ask her. She has SO much life and can’t wait to share that with a special human. Krissy has been working on her arena skills and has a good walk, trot, and canter with correct leads, and has been working on some light pole work in prep for jumping. We haven’t quite mastered jumps yet though she shows potential. She has also worked with the flag, tarps pretty much any crazy stuff we can think of on the ground, in the saddle, and bareback, and handles everything new, same as the last thing, with confidence. Krissy is easy to catch, saddle stands tied, and is ALWAYS happy to hop into the trailer to go somewhere new. She’s great with the farrier and vet and UTD on everything.
