Johnny is a gorgeous, stout, 10-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse. He stands at 15.3hh.

Johnny Ringo was born and raised in West Virginia where he was used as a lesson horse to help young people learn to ride and build their confidence. Johnny is the perfect horse for beginners to build up their confidence or an experienced rider to work or trail ride. He has been ridden all over from West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Indiana. Johnny loves to camp and ride new trails!

Not only is Johnny the perfect trail horse but he also has a GREAT handle. Since we’ve owned Johnny he has been used for an everyday ranch horse, check fence, doctor claves, and has been trail ridden by all of us at Rough Creek Stables including our children. He always takes care of his rider. Johnny will lead or follow on a loose rein. You can rope off Johnny with ease. He has the perfect family personality and always stays calm during new obstacles. He will walk on a loose rein, run-walk, 4 beat gait, and canter! Johnny can direct rein and neck rein. He will flex under saddle or on the ground. Johnny is excellent for the farrier, bathes well, loads with ease, stands like a soldier to tack and mount, and he has outstanding ground manners! Johnny tackles obstacles head-on and is fearless under the saddle. He will cross logs, water, and the toughest terrain all while being sure-footed, safe and handles everything with confidence. He has always been eager to learn and please his rider. Johnny stays calm around traffic and has no issues with wildlife.

Johnny has the biggest heart and is one of the most patient horses we’ve had the pleasure of owning. He loves attention and is the first to meet you in the field. He truly is your dream horse who can do it all!
