Gold Star is a 14y/o palomino/champagne 15.2-hand grade Tennessee Walking Horse/Racking gelding with an outstanding smooth gait. Star is a beautiful horse with a ton of presence in how he looks and travels-sure to get you noticed anywhere you go! Star is for an experienced rider as he has a LOT of motor and will go all day long. He is very controllable and responsive with little pressure, no buck or rear but will have a lot of forward motion. As you can see in the pictures and the videos, he’s got the look, and his gait is all natural with no effort. Star knows how to lunge in a round pen, on a line, and without side reins. Star picks things up exceptionally fast; if he isn’t used to it, he is easy to teach and willing to learn. I have started teaching him to park out to mount; he is catching on very fast! He will ride out alone as well with other horses and is traffic and trail safe. He will not hesitate to go if you point his head, whether it be water or hills. Star is a forward type of horse and prefers to ride along at a slower gait rather than flat walk in a group but will ride in front, middle or back. Star will stand on a picket line, stalls easily, and is easy to catch in the field. He has a wonderful personality and loves to be around people. I have pastured him with other geldings and mares, and he does fine with both. Star just got back from a 10-day trail ride in MO and will go all day long and never get tired- he was ridden up to 15miles a day without ever wanting to quit. He would make an exceptional horse for someone who wanted to use him daily or is an avid trail rider, as he loves a job!
Star is current on all his vaccinations, coggins, and health certificate. Stands great for the farrier to bathe, clips without a twitch, and is shod all the way around at current.
