Galdur is a 13-year-old Registered Icelandic gelding. This fuzzy guy has spent his whole life in the hills of Kentucky and is enjoyed by many young children and adults. Galdur is an excellent confidence booster who takes care of his rider regardless of age or circumstances. He enjoys trail riding through rugged terrain and does it with ease. We have had Galdur in some sticky situations on trails, and he always gives it his all. He will cross creeks, downed trees, and ditches and climb up the steepest hills without hesitation. We haven’t found anything that bothers this nice guy, dogs, cattle, tractors, traffic, or four-wheelers. You name it, Galdur has more than likely seen it. He has the stamina and endurance of the Icelandic breed, as well as an easy-to-sit gait. He also has the best characteristics of the breed that make him adorable to have around. He’s curious, very friendly, and will come over to see you at the fence or walk up to you in the field. His absolute favorite thing is peanut butter fudge. Galdur prefers to walk, tolt and canter but has a nice flying pace and trot when I asked. He is absolutely a blast to ride and is something everyone in the family can enjoy.
