Frost

Frost is a very stocky built, 14.3 hh, 10 yr old, Perlino Gelding. Frost has been trail ridden by an older gentleman in multiple states and has been ridden extensively throughout Big South Fork. We have had him on the Knott County ride that is held here in KY, 3 times and he has done perfect in crowds of up to 400 riders. Frost will walk but moves out easily, he is responsive to what the rider asks for. He has a very smooth 4-beat gait and a nice lope to go with it!!! I have used him around the farm to check calves and herd cows. He has been used in a gaited lesson program and has been used for trail riding lessons as well. As you can see in the video he will follow another horse anywhere that they go even without a rider on him so he is a great horse for a beginner to learn the trails on. He has no issue being the leader and rides alone just fine as well. He is easy to catch, clip, bath, tack-up, load, and handle in anyway. He has been ridden around farm equipment and ATV’s. On the trails he is a perfect gentleman! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do. Call me with any questions!
