Dun Knocking Boots Mi Amor, aka “Amauri,” is a grullo MFT filly foaled on 4/21/2018. Her MFT registration number is 18-102770. She is a well-bred filly on both the dam and sire side of her papers. Her great breeding shows up in her temperament and her natural gait. Amauri is gentle, easy to work with. Note that on her vet check form, Dr. Whitsel said Amauri is “Easy to work on. Very Quiet.” We shoot guns around this filly, and she accepts the noise!

Amauri is 14.3 hands, likely to mature to 15 hands by other offspring of her parents. She had a light start as a two-year-old. She was turned back out to mature and then brought up this spring as a 3-year-old for training and trail riding. Amauri is sweet, kind, and affectionate. She has excelled at everything we have asked of her. There is a lot of video footage of her training journey on YouTube. She is well-built, good confirmation. Most important, she is a sturdy, stocky-built filly ready to cover the miles of trails ahead of her. We have primarily trained her to be a quiet, honest trail horse, focusing on her gait and exposing her to various obstacles and other activities to prepare her to face anything on the trail. This is a well-balanced mare, naturally supple, and she shows a lot of talent for ring work, basic dressage. Her up/down transitions, half-halts, athleticism, and balance really demonstrate this filly could be an all-around horse for the trail and ring work. She is an all-in-one horse! We have also worked her on cattle. She pins her ears and enjoys moving cows.

Amauri stands still to mount, excellent manners in the barn/around the farm and on the trail. She is naturally trail savvy, has been up and downs all kinds of trails, and handles rough country very well. Load her up, get on and go… this filly rides start to finish like an experienced trail horse.

Amauri has been trail-ridden in some rough countries in TN and various environments in SC that have a lot of bikes, vehicles, hikers, etc.… Her gait is exceptional and very smooth. She is set in both a flat walk and her Fox Trot. She has exceptional rhythm and cadence in her gait. She has been cantered and has a nice lope on the trail. She does well on various ring obstacles, has a great neck rein, and works well off leg pressure.

Overall, Amauri is the perfect package- she has color, sense, great gait, talent, and demonstrates potential and aptitude for so much more.
