Drover is a true gentleman and light years ahead at everything he does. You will not find any better Friesian cross his age. He is absolutely amazing in the bridle soft, bends, flexes, respectful, and always willing. I have taken my time with this guy letting his joints and body grow. He simply learns so fast and retains everything from the first time you show him that he rides almost as well as a bridle-bit horse. He is equally great at everything from Trail riding, to crossing bridges, rivers, tunnels, and bicycles. Joggers, dogs, wildlife, nothing phases him. I even run a bullwhip off of him for real, not just standing in a video, but to move cranky cows, as seen in the video. He already has some nice western dressage and vaquero movements down, as seen in the video. He is absolutely one of the top young horses I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He will track a cow like my finished ranch horses and not let one get by him. He absolutely loves it. He pivots on the front and rear. He will block any gate with all the pressure you push at him. He rides in the herd, sorting whatever one you need out. This guy also has a huge future in the sorting and team penning ring. He’s actually a top-sorting horse already. He handles a rope extremely well, doctoring cattle single-man style or head or heel side. He knows how to use his body to drag one the right way. He works gates as well as any I’ve ridden. He gets a lot of time off in between to grow and be healthy and always waiting at the gate to go to work. He loves it. He is the same ride no matter how much time off, even months at a time. He is the biggest puppy dog personality and is always in your pocket, whether in the pasture or paddock. He has Tons of personality, and truly, folks, he is one of the smartest I’ve ever had the pleasure to sit on. He is one who will get you noticed no matter the direction you choose with him. They just don’t make many like this guy. Come see for yourself! He’s never pitched or kicked, even when starting him. He is safe for anyone out on the trail or in the arena, working cows. He’s naturally in it to win it! So, I would recommend an advanced rider in the sorting or roping pen as he loves it. He is conformationally correct big boned big hair, and is gorgeous.
