Deputy

Description:

Deputy is a 15.2hh, 13-year-old, Palomino Blanketed Appaloosa Horse gelding. Deputy has spent time as a ranch horse working in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. He has been pasture roped off of, been used to doctor calves, used at brandings, herded, and sorted as well. But more recently he has been earning his keep as a trail horse and over the last 3 years, he has been trail ridden and camped in several states including Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, and Mississippi. He has seen everything possible on the trails including all types of wildlife. He will cross creeks, ditches, logs, and navigate rough rocky areas. He is safe in traffic safe whether that be trucks or cars. He is a gentle laid back type of horse that most anyone can ride. Deputy has a nice western pleasure type of jog that is smooth to ride, his lope is as slow and easy as any that you will set on! He neck reins and backs as well. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Deputy is not cinchy, cold backed, does not crib or weave, and will not try to pull back when he is tied. If you want a trail horse that can get out and work on the ranch as well, Deputy will do the job!
