Darling is a gorgeous 2018 model Mustang/Draft mare with a good build and a solid mind!
We absolutely adore this mare, as do the kids at the barn. She’s the first to meet you at the gate, loves treats and being brushed, and is amazing for the vet and farrier. Darling loads well, has great ground manners, and is easy to be around.
Darling is extremely versatile and has been ridden English, Western, bareback, and even bridleless! She has an amazing collection and frame, has been ridden English for the last 60 days, loves to jump, and is learning how to move laterally and hold her body. She’s great over cavalettis and cross rails and has even been taken over a cross-country course!
In the Western saddle, Darling has a slow jog and lope and is working on her spins, side pass, and neck rein.
Darling has carried flags, walked over tarps, dragged tarps, played with balls, and been ridden next to tractors, lawn mowers, vehicles, and other loud automobiles.
By far, Darling’s favorite is the trail! She will go out alone or in a group, lead the pack or be in the back, cross bridges, go under tunnels, right next to cars, through water—you name it, she’s there for it!
Darling is as willing and as smart as they come, and picks up on whatever you teach her almost instantly.
We are so excited to see this mare’s future and to see her find her forever family.
