Talk about the WOW FACTOR!!! Cowboy has it all, size, shape, color, and rides the right way! Cowboy is a STOUT Gelding standing 14.3-15hh and should grow another inch; he’s four years old, a rare Blue Roan Paint color, and a Friesian Quarter Horse cross (QH 1/2 X Friesian ½) that is weighing 1100lbs. He has a beautiful mane and tail with some feathering on his legs. Cowboy was born and raised in Colorado and has been ridden throughout the Rockies on hunting trips. He has been packed a couple of times as well. He knows steep slopes and how to handle himself in rocky terrain.

Since owning Cowboy, we have done a little bit of everything with him, ponied wild colts, roped calves in the pen, trail rode him, and got him started on some tricks such as bowing and laying down. He has been ridden around the ranch and was used for various tasks, from checking fences to herding cows. Cowboy has a nice lope, will take his leads, and has a very good stop and reins around as well. He has lots of trail miles. He will cross creeks, ditches, and logs and navigate rough rocky areas. He is safe in traffic, whether that be trucks or cars. Cowboy has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. Feel free to call Dillon with any questions.
