Conway’s calm and quiet disposition, worldly exposure, and extensive training ensures that riders of all levels will enjoy him. A true family horse, Conway is often our first pick when toting our one-year-old son along with us on the trail. Conway has proven repeatedly to be an honest mount for children and beginners. He is very tolerant of inexperienced rider cues, sure-footed, and takes care of his passenger.

Conway’s riding skills showcase his versatility and training. He takes both leads, lopes circles both directions, canters on a loose rein, neck reins, and direct reins depending on rider preference, and possesses the same athleticism of horses half his size. He is light in the bridle and light in his movements. Conway is traffic-safe. Highway ridden to town, even down the median of the four-lane highway. On the trail, he will go wherever he is pointed. Has numerous trail miles with various riders. Crosses water, logs, and ditches and navigates rough terrain with ease. He is not herd-bound. Enjoyable to ride out alone or in a group. Conway has competed in trail horse competitions; he is not phased by natural or manmade obstacles. With the snap of your fingers, Conway will come to you to mount, whether it be from a mounting block or a log or stump out on the trail.

Conway drives single and double. Stands to harness and hook. Suitable for carriage rides, wagon trails, or a leisurely Sunday stroll. Conway has gone through extensive desensitization training. He is accustomed to gunfire. Suitable for hunting by horseback or mounted shooting. He has been exposed and is comfortable around children, strollers, four wheelers, tractors, other livestock, leaf blowers, tarps, and will carry the flag. Conway has exceptional ground manners. Stands tied, crossed tied, and stands for bathing. Stands for the farrier, no stocks required. Can be stalled or pastured with others, mid-pecking order, and gets along with both mares and geldings alike. Easy to catch. Conway loads and unloads in a regular-size slant trailer with zero issues.
