Description:
Meet Chantry —he’s a 6-year-old Morgan gelding standing at 15.2 hands tall, with a nice, stout build. He’s easily able to carry a bigger rider. He’s more of the older-style foundation-bred Morgan.
Chantry is a fun ride anytime he’s level-headed and is used to taking on anything out on the trails. He can easily handle steep hills and banks. He will cross logs, wooden bridges, creeks, and rivers.
He’s good with the wildlife and doesn’t mind taking his dog out on the trails either. His dog tries to scare him by charging up behind full speed through brush and leaves, but Chantry never blinks an eye.
He has a been-there, done-that attitude and really excels out on the trail. He has smooth gaits, his trot is easy to post to, and he has a very nice lope. He will leave home alone and go his own way on the trail. He can ride front, back, or middle.
He loads right in the trailer, backs right out, and hauls great. He stands still for tacking and mounting. And also stands well for the farrier. He gets along in the pasture middle of the pecking order. He’s an easy keeper, NO maintenance required.
He has smooth gaits, an easy to post to trot, and a nice, smooth lope. Chantry is a typical Morgan, and he likes to move out. He is NOT hot. But if he’s walking, he has a ground covering walk. When he trots, it’s a medium-paced trot. So again, he is NOT hot by any means, but he’s not a deadheaded type of horse; he does like to move out on the trail. And he can handle miles with no problems. We have taken him on 10-20 mile trail rides, and he always does great. He’s NEVER sore the next day. So, he is as healthy as a horse!
I love a horse like Chantry, and if you know how to ride and love riding like I do, you’ll love him too. He’s easy to get along with, as in NO fuss or muss or drama out on the trails, he’s a real trail machine. He’ll take you wherever you point and does it with ease. Doesn’t care a bit about where the other horses are; he’ll leave them behind and separate away from the herd. He’s really a blast to ride, and most importantly, he’s SAFE. He has NO bad vices or habits.
He’s up to date on everything: Coggins, vaccines, dewormings, and a pre-purchase vet exam. Just call to set up a time to see him in person or to ask any questions.
