Art is an absolute masterpiece to look at!!! Standing a stocky built 14.3Hh, 7 yr old Bay Roan Tobiano Gelding with a long thick mane and tail, Art is a perfect model to look at! Horses are just like people, and we all know what is on the inside really counts, and Art won’t let you down there, either! Art is a quiet, gentle-minded horse that just enjoys moseying down the trails. He was raised and owned by an older gentleman with knee issues and was forced to quit riding, so Art is a patient horse! He stands for mounting very well, and although he had been taught to lay down for mounting, this gentleman’s knees just couldn’t handle the time in the stirrups, so he is looking for a new home to enjoy. Art has been trail-ridden lots of miles and camping in WV, VA, TN, and KY. Art has been shown in fun shows and always rode and showed well.

The crowds, bright lights, kids running around, banners blowing in the wind, baby strollers, car lights, and loudspeakers have never bothered him! He has been ridden by kids on the trails and at the shows, and he is a horse that I consider safe for anyone in my family to ride! Art is easy to catch, clip, bathe, tack up, load, and handle. He will flatfoot walk on a loose rein or move on out if you ask. He also has a natural running walk gait and a nice Racking gait! No matter who the rider is, they are guaranteed to get a smooth ride with Art!!! He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATVs, and over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off his back while I was coon hunting. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees and rough terrain while still being sure-footed. He has been ridden in traffic and is very traffic safe around cars, semi trucks, log, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and great attitude about whatever he is asked to do.
